  Kauae means chin tattoo

7. What is the Maori name for Bella?

Pera  means  Bella.

8. How do we know that she was proud of her tattoos?  Because she is showing her tattoos she haves.

9. Describe her clothing.  Irene wears both Maori and European clothing
10. Why do you think the book is important enough to be in the photo?   The book might be important because it is probably about her life.
